Affirmative and Negative Sentences

Affirmative sentences:

Affirmative sentences are considered as positive form of sentences. It is named as affirmative sentence or the positive statement.

Example:

I am a student.
You have books with you.
He does his work.

Negative sentences:

Negative sentences are considered as negative form of the sentences. It is named as negative sentence or the negative statement.

In a simple way, when there is a term “not” in the sentence, it is called as a negative sentence.

Example:

I am not a student.
You do not have books with you.
He does not do his work.

The affirmative and negative concept can be applied on the primary auxiliary verbs. (To be, to do and to have)
