Affirmative and Negative sentences:
To convert the sentences into negative sentences, “not” is added next to “will” in future tense.

Example sentences:
- I will have my breakfast.
I will not have my breakfast. - You will have exams.
You will not have exams. - He will have his interview.
He will not have his interview. - We will have meeting tomorrow.
We will not have meeting tomorrow. - They will have their work.

Yes/No Type Question:
Have Verb – Present tense:
Example 1:
I have a pen.
Do I have a pen?
Or
Do you have a pen?
Steps to convert the sentence into Yes/No type question:
- To convert into yes/no type question, “do” verb should introduce in the beginning of a sentence.
- The introducing “do verb” should be based on the subject and tense of the sentence.
- For the mentioned sentence in example 1, the subject is “I” and it is in Present tense. So according to the subject and tense, “do” is introduced in the beginning of the sentence.
Do I have a pen?
Or
Do you have a pen? - The verb “have” in sentence should remain in the base form as “have”.
Example 2:
She has a dog.
- To convert the given sentence into Yes/No type question, “do” verb should be introduced in the beginning of the sentence.
- The introducing “do” verb should be based on the subject and tense of the sentence.
- For the mentioned sentence in example 2, the subject is “She” and it is in present tense. So according to the subject and tense, “does” is introduced in the beginning of the sentence.
Does she have a pen?
- The verb “has” in the sentense should be changed into
base form as “have” when converted as question.
Example sentences:
- I have a book.
Do I have a book? - You have a laptop.
Do you have a laptop? - He has a dog.
Does he have a dog? - She has plants in her house.
Does she have plants in her house? - This kid has a cycle.
Does this kid have a cycle? - That man has a scooter.

Yes/No Type Questions For “Have” Verb – Past Tense:
I had a pen.
Rule to convert the sentence into yes/no type question:
- Tense and subject of the given sentence should be checked.
- The sentence is in past tense, because it has “had” as a verb. So, “did” should be introduced in front of the subject of the sentence to convert into yes/no type question.
- Generally in past tense, “did” is introduced.
- Yes/ No type question pattern is (verb + subject + additional information + ?)
- So, the verb “did” is introduced in front of the sentence.
Did I have a pen?
- When the sentence is converted into Yes/No type question,
the verb in the sentence “had” should be changed into
base form as “have”.
Example sentences:
- I had pasta for dinner.
Did I have pasta for dinner? - You had camera with you.
Did you have camera with you? - He had a bike.
Did he have a bike? - She had pets at home.
Did she have pets at home? - This book had 100 pages.
